ITC WOW Honors Schools For Waste Mgmt Efforts In Clean India Mission

Hyderabad: ITC Limited’s flagship solid waste management initiative, Wellbeing Out of Waste (WOW), honored students and schools at the Interschool Recycling Championship 2024-25 awards ceremony at Ravindra Bharathi Auditorium, Hyderabad. The event recognized outstanding contributions toward the Swachh Bharat Mission through responsible waste management and recycling efforts.

Distinguished guests, including Dr TK Sreedevi, and Rajesh Ponnuru, presented awards to winners. Over 1 lakh students participated, collectively recycling 933 metric tons of dry waste. A total of 2,482 schools from southern India engaged in the initiative, raising awareness on waste segregation.

The event featured cultural performances, a Swachhata Pledge, and discussions on sustainability. ITC WOW, active since 2007, continues to foster responsible waste management through collaboration with schools, communities, and government bodies, promoting a cleaner and healthier India.
